ABOUT US

Wormify was founded in 2018 by Peter Hart, a young entrepreneur, who heard about the capability of the mealworms to digest plastic in a stanford article.

When he first heard about it, he was euphoric and confused at the same time. How come there are no such farms already existing? He had to take this into his own hands and make the change he was waiting for. With that decision he founded the complete non profit project Wormify. Now it is our goal to tidy up the mess we all have made with the help of these worms and science. Furthermore, we want to find a clean solution for us and our next generations.

We are fully dedicated to this project because we believe in its potential and the necessity to act right now.

Wormify is supported by Prof. Dr. Oehlmann and his team of Goethe University for aquatic Ecotoxicology  who have been investigating the environmental impact of microplastics for several years. Their research focus was on the impact of Microplastic in the limnic area. They focused especially on the effects in the limnic area.

We want to get active and find a solution for plastic decomposition in all places on this planet. If you want to tackle this massive challenge with us, become a part of our crew or support us with a donation.
